One Day Industrial Visit
On
“Indira Gandhi Centre For Atomic Research (IGCAR), Chennai”
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organizeda one day industrial for III B.Tech EEE students of batch 2015-19 at Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Chennai on 23rd and 24th of March 2018. They were given an orientation presentation followed by the field trips which include the working operation of Fast Breeder Test centre.
The Electronics and Instrumentation section was explained to the students which includes 60,000 input sensors of the nuclear reactor. They are operated with the super computers that are used to calculate the complex logic within fraction of seconds in order to shutdown the entire nuclear reactor process in case if any untoward incident happens. The students gained knowledge on the operation of the nuclear power plant and what are the job positions available in them and procedure for entrance in IGCAR.
