A one Day National Conference on “Advanced Technologies in Computer Science & Information Technology” NCATCSIT-2015 was held under the auspices of computer science & engineering department of Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology on 14th August 2015 amid much fervor and enthusiasm.
Participating in the event as the Chief Guest , Sri A. Prasad , Associate Professor, HOD , Dept of CSE, Vikrama Simhapuri University, in his keynote address said that, engineering students play a genially significant role in the technological advancement of the country. He underscored the importance of learning computer language to achieve a successful career in the domain of computer science. He urged the students to upgrade and update their technical skills harnessing their creative and Innovative resources to built successful professional careers.
Addressing the gathering of the students, Dr. G. Subba Rao, Principal, said that the institution is sparing no effort to widen the intellectual horizons of the students by conducting conferences, seminars symposia, workshops and other academic activities giving them ample exposure to and awareness of the emerging trends in modern computer technology.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri. N. Sudhakar Reddy, expressed his hope that the conference was going to be a worthy platform which facilitates the exchange of ideas and knowledge, that would immediately benefit the students.
Over 25 technical papers were presented at the conference from various engineering colleges in Tamilnadu, Karnataka, telangana.
