The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a one day Guest Lecture on “Introduction to Machine Learning” on28-01-2018 by Sri.SrikanthTadakalaru, Data Analyst/Scientist, Fidelity Investments, Chennai. The Principal of GIST, Prof. Dr. G.SubbaRao addressed theimportance of soft computing need for the future power generation.The Guest lecture provides important applications and concepts of Machine Learningbecause it is an idea to learn from examples and experience, without being explicitly programmed. Session explained about the writing code and its disadvantages. Instead of coding how the data is fed to the generic algorithm in machine learning and how it builds logic based on the data given was detailed.Around 120 students from III^rd and IV^th year participated in this program.
