Fresher’s day celebrations for the year 2017-18 were organized with great enthusiasm and fervor at gist by the department of ECE on 17-08-2017.
The II B.Tech ECE students accorded a warm welcome to the I B.Tech fresher’s amid much pomp and fan fare.
Addressing the gathering of the students on the occasion, Dr G. Subbarao, Principal, addressed that “GIST had established a good reputation as a Ragging Free Campus and the spirit of cooperation and companionship are the corner stones upon which the amicable relationship between the juniors and seniors is built at GIST. Both the seniors and juniors should march forward hand in carrying forward the vision and mission of Gist” he added.
Mr P. Raghava Reddy, the Hod called upon the students to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding and conduct themselves with dignity and decorum to enrich their campus life.
The cultural programmes presented by the students on the occasion captivated the audience.
