GIST 9th ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATED ON A GRAND SCALE

The Ninth Annual Day Celebrations of GIST were conducted with much pomp and gaiety on 24.02.2018 (Saturday) with the power packed participation of thousands of students.

Participating in the event as the Chief Guest, Sri. Dr. Varada Rajan, Secretary, A.P. State Council of Higher Education urged the students to pave the way for social progress through innovation and out-of-the-box thinking. The conduct of such events would instil the spirit of unity and social responsibility among student community, he added. He richly complimented the management for leaving no stone turned to bring about the multi faceted development of the students.

Addressing the students and staff on the occasion, Mr. Vidyaranya Kollipal, H.R. Manager, Mphasis, Banglore, said that students should be aware of the global scenario in the technological advancements and note that emerging  trends and developments in the modern technology. He expressed his willingness to conduct a campus drive in GIST, laying stress on skill development for bright professional careers. He asked the students to play a constructive role in social progress.

Another guest of honor, Mr. Satya Prakash Sekharan, Vice President, Amtex Solutions said that engineering students should take up socially relevant projects and carry forward the society on the path of progress and prosperity, through value-based technological innovation.

Dr. G. Subba Rao has presented the Annual Report on the occasion, throwing light on broad range of activities and achievements of the institution.

Then the guests were felicitated in a deserving manner. Cash Awards were presented to the outstanding academic achievers and rank holders. College in-house journal “PARISHODANA” was unveiled by the distinguished guests in the presence of Dr. SK. Mahaboob Basha, Head of the R & D Division of the college.

Mr. D. Vinaya Kumar Reddy, Rector, Visvodaya Educational Society, Mr. N. Sudhakar Reddy, Secretary & Correspondent, all the H.O.Ds and faculty, non-teaching staff took part in the event.
