A Three day FDP on Recent Trends in Civil Engineering

DAY 1:
Speaker: T.Sreenivasulu Reddy M.E,(Ph.D), Deputy Executive Engineer, Gudur, SPSR Nellore(Dt)
Topic: Practical difficulties in concrete Technology and Testing of Hardened Concrete.
Timings: 12.00 PM to 1:30 PM, 10-06-2020, Wednesday.
On the Day-1 the session started with the basics components of concrete its properties and detail discussion about the standard values of different tests on concrete as per IS codes.
Later on few practical videos on concrete test are shown and also about practical difficulties facing in the site by the Engineers are explained with practical examples by the resource person which is very interesting to the participants. At the end of the session, participants were actually participated in the Q and A session.
DAY 2:
Speaker: Dr. G. Mallikarjuna, HoD, Vardhaman college of Engineering.Hyderbad
Topic: Geo Polymer concrete
Timings: 12.00 PM to 1:30 PM, 11-06-2020, Thursday
On the Day-2, the session started with the mixing process, characteristics of Geo polymer concrete and then he explained the topic related to research oriented. He explained about problem face during his research and different literature reviews of related topics, future scope and finally session ended with the few suggestions and Q and A.
DAY 3:
Speaker: K. Prabhakar Reddy, Retd Superintendent Engineer
Topic: Design construction and quality control aspects of flexible pavements
Timings: 12.00 PM to 1:30 PM, 12-06-2020, Friday
On the Day-3, the session was started with pavements, types of pavements, layers in pavements and the topic moved to design with coordination with Is codes and its ranges.
He explained about the quality aspects to be consider during the construction of flexible pavements .
