
About Department
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 students in the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) program. Over the years, the intake has been gradually increased to 420 by the year 2024. In addition, the department also offers a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) program with an intake of 18 students.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 18 in Master of Engineering Programme.
The main objective of the department is to provide a forum in which the participants obtain information about the advanced emerging technologies. Department is involved and aiming at the collaboration process from both industry and academics.
It also promotes active industry-institute collaboration by identifying areas of interest and taking part in research projects.
The major areas of research include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, IoT, Cyber Security, Deep Learning, Image Processing, Information Security, Networks.
The Department has dedicated laboratories with latest hardware and software and also has sufficient well qualified and experienced technical and supporting staff. The labs were complemented by the latest software’s.
The Department has CSI,ACM,ISTE institution membership and also Student’s Chapters. On behalf of student chapters, the department is organizing various technical activities, professional activities, workshops, seminars, coding contests and project development activities.
The department is conducting various training programs and certification courses for the students and faculty in association with ICT, CISCO and ORACLE Academy.
The students has participated in different technical and non-technical events at national and international levels and brought laurels to the department. The students are encouraged to participate in various games and sports events at state and national level competitions.
The Department focuses on preparing the students for wide range of IT careers equipping them with unique enriching experience of molding tomorrow’s technocrats with high caliber and commitment.

Engineering Graduates will be able to:
PO1. Engineering Knowledge : Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2. Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
PO8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

VOICE
Vision Of Innovative Computer Engineers (VOICE) is a student association for the Department of Computer Science & Engineering that aims to involve the practice and propagation of a certain professional hobby and to promote professional development for the students.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering had proposed to establish department association in the name of “VISION OF INNOVATIVE COMPUTER ENGINEERS ” (VOICE) for the enhancement of students and faculty as well to enlighten their professional growth in a continuously improving environment.
- To encourage students to develop their intra-personal skills, self-confidence, communication skills, general knowledge, by conducting Debates, Quiz, Paper Presentation competitions etc.
- To encourage students to enhance their interests in extracurricular activities by conducting competitions like Dancing, Singing, Role Plays etc.,
- To enable students to develop a healthy competitive spirit by competing with students of other departments & colleges, via Intra & Inter Collegiate events.
- To provide a platform to students for knowledge sharing by organizing guest lectures, workshops.
- To encourage students to participate in intra and inter college Symposiums.
Roles and responsibilities of the Convener
- To plan activities under department association.
- To conduct meetings related to activities to be organized and related issues for smooth functioning of the association.
Roles and responsibilities of Secretary
- To plan the co curricular activities of the department in coordination with department regular activities.
- Motivating & encouraging the students of the department to participate/ register in various co curricular activities.
- To allot the activity coordinator for each activity in association with the department HoD.
- To keep records, summary and documentations of all the events or activities organized.
- To prepare Minutes of Meeting for every meeting conducted.
- To upload the events organized data in to the website.
Roles and responsibilities of activity coordinator
- To prepare the circulars and scheduling of the events.
- Motivating the students and registering the students to the stated activity.
- Recording of the events and preparation of documents of the organized events/activities i.e., registration forms, winners list, feedback forms.
- To prepare the report of the event or activity which they had organized.

- To motivate the fellow students to participate in the activity.
- To act as a organizer & volunteer to the activity and participant to that event.
