Department of COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING in Geethanjali institute of science & Technology (Membership Number M10202), Nellore organized “A ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON TRENDS IN MOBILE COMPUTING, INTERNET OF THINGS & CYBER PHYSICAL SYSTEMS ” in association with COMPUTER SOCIETY OF INDIA on 13th April 2016. Around 250 students along with 30 faculty members attended the workshop.
WORKSHOP THEME
The objective of the workshop aims to bring the young and dynamic students of this generation to indulge innovative ideas and emerge with upcoming technologies. The workshop will seek the challenges and new directions of technological aspects related to Internet of Things, Cyber Physical Systems.
ABOUT RESOURCE PERSON
Prof. L.M. Patnaik obtained his Ph.D in 1978 in the area of Real-Time Systems, D.Sc. in 1989 in the areas of Computer Systems and Architectures, both from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. During March 2008 – August 2011, he was the Vice Chancellor, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Deemed University, Pune. Currently he is an Honorary Professor with the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Prior to this he was a Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Automation at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. During the last 40 years of his service at the Institute, his teaching, research, and development interests have been in the areas of Parallel and Distributed Computing, Computer Architecture, CAD of VLSI Systems, Theoretical Computer Science, Real-Time Systems, Soft Computing, and Computational Neuroscience.
