NSS Volunteers of GIST College planted 100 saplings in the college on Thursday, to mark the VANAM – MANAM programme launched by the state government to enhance green cover. The event was organized under the guidance of college principal Prof. G. Subba Rao and NSS coordinator M. Mahesh Kumar. Speaking on the occasion, principal said the protection of environment was the need of the hour. College has beautiful trees because of saplings planted by former students of the college.
