TWO DAY WORKSHOP ON HANDS ON VLSI DESIGN
A Two Day Workshop on “Hands on VLSI Design” was conducted for III ECE students on 6th, 7th January 2017. The principal Dr. G. Subba Rao inaugurated the session on the first day. In this inaugural address, Dr .G. Subba Rao said that Hands – on in VLSI Design provides a competitive edge to the students in a more effective way than the class room learning. He urged the students to utilize the opportunities offered by VLSI design to the maximum extent possible and get benefited.
The first day morning session laid more emphasis on tool introduction and basics of CMOS technology. In the afternoon session design of schematic of logic circuit and verification, Boolean logic was introduced to the students. The resource person Mr. M. Raja Reddy, Director, PPCD elaborated on experience in connecting circuits and testing their performance in electrical diagram simulation.
The second day was dedicated to the introduction of layout editors and inputs were given on the conversion of design circuits into layouts in the evaluation of performance.
Chief Patron, Mr. N. Sudhakar Reddy, Secretary & Correspondent took part in the event. Mr. P.Raghava Reddy HOD of ECE, the faculty and students were present on the occasion.
