GISTECHFEST-2K17
A National Level Tech Fest captioned “GISTECHFEST-2K17” was organized on 17,18 March 2017 with much pomp and fervour. The Tech Fest was aimed at heightening the technical knowledge and skills of the engineering aspirants by providing them with an enlightening platform where they could interact with technical, industrial and corporate experts.
The inaugural ceremony on the first day was held by Principal Dr. G. Subba Rao and Secretary Correspondent Sri N. Sudhakar Reddy who said that exposure to such national level technical events would broaden the horizons of the youngsters through mutual interaction and exchange of creative ,innovative ideas.
On the second day on the fest(18.03.2017) the chief Guest Mr. K. Prasad ,Deputy Manager, Talent Acquisition and Global Mobility Cyient Ltd. Hyderabad, said that plenty of employment opportunities were available to those students possessing initiative, confidence and dynamism in hardware sector such as engineering design, LED manufacturing.
Another Guest of honor, Mr. B. Naga Prasad, HR General Manager, DQ Entertainment International Limited, speaking on the occasion, said that students with out of the box thinking and innovative ideas would have bright avenues for employment in 2D,3D, Cartoon designing and animation sector. Engineering graduates should think in terms of pursuing and building their career in animation sector, apart from exploring opportunities in software sector,he said
In connection with the event, poster presentation, paper presentation contest, JAM, Debate, C-Debugging, instrumental music, short film making, photography contest, sports events such as volley ball, throw ball, kabaddi, indoor sports events like caroms and chess were conducted spreading over the two days.
over 300 students from Bangalore, Kancheepuram, Salem, Coimbatore took part in the event.
