Report on “Swachh Bharath Rally”
In accordance with the vision of the government, the college organized ‘Swachh Bharath Rally’in Nellore town on 05 Oct 2015. The rally was well attended by around 180 students and public. The objective of the Rally is to promote Prime Minister’s noble mission of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. The Rally aims at spreading awareness amongst locals to maintain cleanliness.
Principal Prof Dr. G.SubbaRao in his address praised the efforts of students. He also stressed that students must keep cleanliness in the college, homes and in the city, adding that only students could inspire others to follow the Swatch Bharat Abhiyan.NSS coordinator Mr.Ranjith Krishna said that it was the duty of one and all to keep the surroundings clean to avert the spread of mosquitoes thereby preventing the spread of dengue and other viral diseases. Holding banners and placards on the theme ‘clean India, Happy and Healthy India’, the volunteers began the rally. Volunteers from NCC and other participants cleaned the entire stretch when the rally moved through the road.
