The N.S.S unit organized swatchh Bharath program at GIST on Saturday 07.01.2017. As part of the initiative the students under took tree plantation drive in the campus.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Dr. G. Subba Rao emphasized the preservation of natural resources and spoke out against their discriminate exploitation. He asserted that reforestation would help set natural environment free from pollution and bring copious rainfall. He said that human beings are also part and parcel of nature and they should desist from exploitation of nature for their own selfish ends. Huge number of students took part in the programme. Mr. N. Sudhakar Reddy, secretary and correspondent, Mr. Krishna Chaithanya , Principal , GIST Polytechnic , Mr. D. V. V. S. Phani Kumar, Director, Mr. M. Mahesh Kumar, N.S.S programme officer took part in the event.
