Srujana 2K18: Sound Foundations
The Science & Humanities Department of Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology has organized a One-Day National Symposium , “SRUJANA-2K18: Sound Foundations, exclusively for I year B.Tech Students on 13th April 2018 on Basic Engineering foundations subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental studies and English and Communication Skills.
The porgramme commenced with the theme introduction by Ms. K. Vijaya, HOD, S&H and Convenor of the programme followed by the stimulating inaugural address by the Principal, Prof. G. Subba Rao. Dr. Ch. Masthanaiah, Principal, DK Govt. College for Women (autonomous) Nellore, graced the occasion as Chief Guest to deliver the keynote address. An able administrator, eminent scholar and outstanding academician with a long list of accomplishments and accolades, Dr. Ch. Masthanaiah, enthralled the audience with his inspiring inputs. Mr. N. Sudhakar Reddy, Secretary & Correspondent, Ushodaya Educational Society declared Srujana 2k18 open and released the ‘Abstracts’ of the papers to be presented. The Chief Guest gave away merit-cum-means prizes amounting to 1,25,000 to 25 beneficiary I year students. The inaugural session concluded with Dr. Ch. Kalyani proposing a formal vote of thanks.
The technical sessions commenced in the forenoon itself and concluded by 4PM with 200 students participating 60 paper presentations, 5 poster presentation and 21 teams in the quiz programme.
