As a token of our social responsibility, 35 students of GIST volunteered themselves for assisting in police duties including traffic, law and order and administrative duties, during the period of Krishna Pushkaralu on 27.12.2016. They reported at the Town Police Station, Kovur and assisted the police personnel in discharging their duties for a period of 15 days, when the regular police people were away on Bandobust duties at Krishna Pushkaralu. The experience proved to be salutary for the students, who learnt a lot about the functioning of Police administration and also shaping them into responsible citizens. They all received certificates of appreciation for their participation. Mr. Ashok Kumar, Physical Director of the College coordinated the programme, whose services are duly acknowledged.
