A Report on SRUJANA 2K23 A one day National Level Symposium

Srujana 2K23 a National Level Symposium was organized at Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology with gaiety and fanfare on Saturday, i.e 01.07.2023, under the auspices of the Science & Humanities department.

Over 100 students from various engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana apart from local engineering institutions in AP State took part in the event. In connection with the event, Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation and Quiz competitions were organized focusing upon the applications in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.

Participating in the event as the Chief Guest, Mr. Kalyan Kumar Gummuluru, Manager, Operations, Adani Group urged the I B. Tech students to cultivate out-of-the-box thinking and focus on innovations, while developing a thorough grip on the fundamentals of engineering. Emphasising the plenty of opportunities in the core branches like, Mechanical Engineering, EEE and Civil streams, the chief guest exhorted the students to upgrade their technical skills keeping pace with the trends and demands of the emerging technologies.

On the occasion, Dr. G. Subba Rao, Director said that students ought to focus on strengthening their communication skills, while keeping themselves abreast of the evolving technologies like Data Science, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence apart from expanding their expertise in core Computer Science and Engineering.

Participating in the event Mr. N. Sudhakar Reddy, Secretary & Correspondent urged the students to develop a global vision in upgrading and polishing their skillset to suit the conditions of the job scenario and strive to stay relevant in the market.

Dr. K. Sundeep Kumar, Principal in his welcome address said that the institution is leaving no stone unturned in its effort to facilitate the all round development of the students, by organizing such co curricular and extracurricular activities like seminars, Workshops, Symposia and conferences to provide industry exposure to the engineering aspirants.

The Convener of the programme, and H.O.D of Science & Humanities department, Dr. P. M. Kishore stressed on the application based learning especially in the fundamental engineering subjects like Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and providing motivation to the students to pursue socially relevant projects to serve the society. An all-out effort is on to equip and empower the students with industry relevant employability skills enabling them to build brighter career paths, for a promising future.

At the Valedictory event held in the afternoon, prizes were distributed to the winners in various competitions. Sri.P. Sreenivasulu Reddy, Joint Secretary, Sri. Y. Vijay sankar Reddy, Treasurer. Dr. T.N.V.L.N. Kumar, Dean of Admissions, other H.O.Ds, faculty and students were present at the event.
