Report on “Self Defense for Woman”
A Programme on Self-Defence for Women” was organized by the Women Protection Cell of Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology on 09/08/2018.The programme was coordinated by Ms.K.Radhika, Associate Professor of ECE department and Ms.Sk.M.Shahina Assistant Professor of ECE department. In total 103 girl students and 35 women faculty have attended. In these days violent crimes against women are high. So, there is a need to aware and practice self defence methods. The programme began with warm up and small work outs. Then, various types of self defence like punches, blocks, palms, kicks, chops and other martial art forms are explained. The whole session taught the tricky techniques and the way to hit correctly on the pressure points.
