REPORT ON INDUSTRIAL VISIT
TO
SRISAILAM POWER HOUSE
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an industrial visit for the III B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering students to the Srisailam Dam and Powerhouse Project on 17 September 2025 to 18 September 2025 . This visit was conducted as part of the department’s academic activities to provide students with practical exposure to engineering concepts and real-world applications.
A group of 43 students, accompanied by three faculty members, participated in the visit. The students explored the dam’s structural and operational features and gained insights into the workings of the powerhouse. This experience aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application, enriching the students’ understanding of hydroelectric power generation and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Such initiatives highlight the department’s commitment to fostering experiential learning and preparing students to excel in their professional engineering careers.
