TO
SDSTPS Nelatur Thermal Power Station
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an industrial visit for the II B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering students to the “SDSTPS Nelatur” thermal power station on 23rd September 2025. This visit was conducted as part of the department’s academic activities to provide students with practical exposure to engineering concepts and real-world applications.
A group of 46 students, accompanied by two faculty members, participated in the visit. It is one of the largest power generating plant in Nellore district. It is the integration of three units each 800 MW capacity. Students participated actively and understand the process of generation,about various components functioning practically. This visit was an exciting experience and cooperation of APGenco staff and workers is really appreciable. Such initiatives highlight the department’s commitment to fostering experiential learning and preparing students to excel in their professional engineering careers.
