Report on Guest Lecture “AI IN CLOUD PALTFORMS: AWS, AZURE AND GOOGLE AI TOOLS”
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Guest Lecture for III B.Tech (CSE) students on “AI IN CLOUD PALTFORMS: AWS, AZURE AND GOOGLE AI TOOLS” by Mr. K.Venkata Ramana, Senior Software Engineer, Neurocraft Innovations Pvt Limited, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad, Telangana. Around 70 students of III B.Tech (CSE) actively participated in the guest lecture held on 6-09-2025. The session was well-received, and students appreciated the practical insights shared by the expert.
A guest lecture on *“AI in Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, and Google AI Tools”* was conducted to provide students with insights into the growing role of artificial intelligence in cloud computing environments. The lecture aimed to familiarize participants with the tools, services, and platforms offered by leading cloud providers to design, deploy, and scale AI applications.
The session began with an overview of **Artificial Intelligence in Cloud Computing**, highlighting how cloud platforms provide scalable infrastructure, pre-built AI services, and flexible tools that accelerate innovation. The speaker emphasized how organizations increasingly rely on cloud AI platforms to solve real-world challenges in data analytics, automation, and machine learning.
The lecture then covered the three major cloud platforms:
- AWS (Amazon Web Services)– Introduction to services like Amazon Sage Maker for machine learning model development, Recognition for image and video analysis, Comprehend for natural language processing, and Lex for conversational AI.
- Microsoft Azure – Discussion on Azure AI services such as Azure Machine Learning Studio, Cognitive Services (Vision, Speech, Language, and Decision APIs), and integration with enterprise applications for automation.
- Google Cloud AI Tools – Explanation of Google’s Vertex AI platform, AutoML for simplified model training, BigQuery ML for machine learning on structured data, and specialized APIs for vision, translation, and speech-to-text.
The speaker also explained the advantages of cloud AI platforms\, including scalability, cost-effectiveness, security, and ease of integration with existing systems. Real-life case studies were presented to illustrate how companies are using these platforms for fraud detection, healthcare diagnostics, personalized recommendations, and smart assistants.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where participants clarified doubts about choosing the right cloud platform, the cost structure of AI services, and future career opportunities in AI and cloud computing.
Outcome
The lecture enhanced the participants’ understanding of how cloud platforms empower AI development and deployment. It equipped students with knowledge of practical tools and services, preparing them for future projects and research in artificial intelligence and cloud technologies.
