Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology always rises up to the occasion for programmes benefitting the society. In tune with this stand, a programme on “Pulse Polio” was organized at Damaramadugu village on 14th Jan 2017 with about 60 students along with some members of faculty participating in it. Mr.G.Subbaih, Assistant professor of EEE Department, was the Coordinator for the programme. The students actively went round to individual houses identifying the young children in need of polio vaccine, convinced the parents and administered vaccination for all the children in the specified age group. It was a good campaign with 100% accomplishment rate, where the parents and the villagers have cooperated well and extended their hospitality to the participating members.
