One week online workshop on “Drone Technology” at GIST
One week online workshop on “Drone Technology” was organizedby the department of ECE, from5thto10thOctober 2020in collaboration withAPSSDC. The experts from APSSDC explained various concepts of Drone Technology related aspects right from the fundamentalsfor IIIyear B.Tech ECE students.
The workshop started with a presentation on Drone Technology basics and its related fields where opportunities are abundant in the industry. The presentation clearly explained what skills are required to become aDrone Technology developer or engineer. The entire workshop was focus on designed a Drone Technologyand it took totally six sessions.
The workshop resource persons initially focused on basic on the technology and then todesignon related projects. The students got a chance to learn in depth about programming methodologies, debugging techniques and code dumping processes. Meanwhile the queries raised by the students were also answered in an efficient way in all the sessions by the resource persons.
The workshop participants were able to successfully code and run their programs.The workshop turned out to be a major successful event, imparting lot of knowledge about Drone Technology and how to work with various microcontrollers used to design the drones.
The Principal of GIST, Prof. Dr. G.Subba Rao, in the inaugural address also mentioned the demand of Drone Technology in the related fields of Electronics. Mr.P.Raghava Reddy, The head of the department ofECE (Admin), Dr.P.Chakrapani HOD,IICC,Mr.U.Penchalaiah,Assistant Professortook part in the workshop actively.
