ONE WEEK FACULTY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
on
Internet of Things
As a part of continuous improvement and to cop up with new trends and technologies “A one week faculty development program on Internet of Things was organized by department of Electronics and communication engineering in association with Andhra Pradesh state Skill development corporation, Amaravati.
As per the given schedule faculty improvement program was organized from 09/03/2020 to 14/03/2020 at Vikramasarabhai block, VB 107, APSSDC lab. A Total 38 Faculty members are registered and trained in the domain of internet of things through hands on sessions.
On 09/03/2020 faculty improvement program was inaugurated by Prof.Dr.G.Subbarao, Principal and delivered the presidential address. Dr.SK.Mahaboob Basha , HOD ECE acts as a Convenor to the program. Dr.TNVLN Kumar, HoD EEE & Dr.P.Chakrapani, HOD IICC had occupied the guest chairs of the program. Mr.P.Raghava reddy, Assoc. Professor & Mr.G.Kiran Kumar, Assoc. Professor of ECE are the coordinators of the faculty improvement program.
Technical skill trainers Mr.Umamaheswara Rao and Mr.C.Srihari from Andhra Pradesh state Skill Development Corporation trained the faculty through hands on sessions by distributing the training materials and hardware kits among the faculty.
Faculties are trained on Arduino platform and Raspberry pi processors & designed several application models through interactive practical learning approaches. Brainstorming sessions are progressed while learning the advanced application models.
Faculty members from ECE and EEE had participated in program and shared their views in developing the applications as per their program requirements using the advanced application technologies like internet of things. All the sessions are progressed as smooth run, participants had clarified their doubts in the learned domain.
Inputs had collected from the participants for further enhancement of learning outcomes by APSSDC. All the participants are distributed with training certificates & Technical skill trainers are felicitated with mementos as a token of appreciation.
