One Day Workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) using Embedded Systems

The Department of ECE Organized a “One Day Workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) using Embedded Systems” under IETE association on 19.04.2016 to benefit students towards new trends in the current Industrial applications.

The hot topic was splendidly handled by the resource person Prof.C.R.Sarma, Professor, Adjunct. He had explained basic structure of IoT things and their significance in the current world. He had explained the basic Hardware parts which are used in the IoT system. Later in the next session the concept of Arduino was explained relative to Hardware and Software.  Finally he pointed out the applications are in terms of sensors and actuators which could be interfaced to Arduino. In the afternoon session the workshop went on explanation about the Wi-Fi Device ESP8266 and AT commands and making simple server Arduino  – ESP8266 – Cloud ESP8266 stand alone Internet Device.

 An open discussion was open for the student’s queries and discussions with students and staff related to topic during the last hours of the afternoon session. A valedictory message was given the staff to conclude the workshop.

At the outset, the workshop was fully utilized by the students and they have gained the knowledge over the concept.
