One Week Value added Course on Numerical Relays and Protection of Transformer was organized by the Department of EEE, from 29th January 2019 to 02nd February 2019 in association with TCC Global Engineers pvt Ltd. The expert Mr.Sk.Ameenudian explained various concepts of Numerical Relays and Protection of Transformer related aspects right from the fundamentals for III & IV year II Semester B.Tech EEE students.
The Principal of GIST, Prof. Dr.G.Subba Rao, in the inaugural address also mentioned the necessity of the Protection of transformer in the related fields of Electrical Engineering. The Head of the Department of EEE, Dr.A.Jaffar Sadiq Ali, and the faculty event coordinators Mr.G.Subbaiah, Assistant Professor, Mr.K.Dayakar, Associate Professor and other all faculty members of EEE also took part in the course actively. Out of 77 students had registered, 62 from III EEE and15 from IV EEE had attended the course. For the first three days the theoretically concepts were taught along with problem solving related to different types relay setting followed by hands-on training matching with the calculated values. The course was successfully completed with the confidence to face electrical oriented company interviews.
