NSS Foundation Day was celebrated by the NSS unit of Geethanjali institute of science and technology. Principal, Prof. G. Subba rao was the Chief Guest. The programme was introduced by NSS Officer, Mr. M. Mahesh Kumar. Principal, Prof. G. Subba rao in his address impressed upon the students to share the social responsibilities for sharpening their lives and increasing self confidence in addition to the academics.
The event was celebrated in two phases. In the first phase watering of trees was done in which students under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer Mr. M. Mahesh Kumar watered around 50 trees. In the second phase cleanliness drive was carried out in the entire college campus. NSS volunteers cleaned all the drains and lawns of the college with great zeal and enthusiasm. They further cleaned various class rooms and laboratories of the college. Various NSS volunteers spoke on NSS and performed cultural activities on the occasion. The function was concluded by vote of thanks by NSS officer Mr. M. Mahesh Kumar.
