National Science day Celebrations
“National Science Day” was celebrated at Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology on 28th Feb 2019 (Thursday) under the auspices of Dept of Science and Humanities. Dr. N. Bakthavatsala Reddy, Post Doctorate, Ural Federal University, Russia graced the occasion as the chief guest. He recalled that many Indian Scientists rendered unparalleled contributions to the World of Science and Technology. He stressed on the need for a coherent technical perspective alongside innovation-equipped creativity for the emergence of a competent Engineer in this rapidly developing world. He punctuated that technology is deeply related to rational and logical aspects. He appreciated the Management of the College for conducting programs like these.
On this occasion Prof. G. Subba Rao, Principal said that Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology always encourages young engineers to inculcate a technology-oriented perspective and National Science Day celebrations is one among such organized by the College.
Models and Demonstrations by Students on Environmental Diversity, Bio Diversity, Hydraulic Bridge, Li-Fi, Raman Effect and Fire Alarm attracted the visitors with impressive creativity and quality. Dr. Ch. Kalyani, HoD, S&H, Dr. T.N.V.L.N Kumar, Director, HODs, Faculty and first year engineering students participated in the event. It was well received by all.
