The central government sponsored Independence Day week celebrations on behalf of AZADI-70 came to a close at GIST on 23rd August 2016. As a part of the initiative, various events were organized from August 9th to August 23rd 2016, at the institution like Tree-plantation, patriotic songs, poetry contest, Essay Writing, Elocution were conducted, according to Sri Dr. G. Subba Rao, Principal “All the 200 students of the college, faculty, management representatives, technical and administrative staff lent their voice in chorus to render National Anthem. 100 I year engineering students formed a huge India map on the campus”.
