A district level youth festival celebrations for JNTUA university affiliated colleges in Nellore and Chittor were conducted by NSS UNIT at GIST on 20-01-2017.
Participating in the programme as the chief guest Mr. Sita Rama Rao, the President of Pinakini Lions Club said that the youth festival would spark the artistic talents of the youngsters and provide them with a happy and refreshing diversion from their dull mechanical academic life he said that the participating in a diversity of activities would bring the talents to the fore.
Addressing the students on the occasion Dr. Prof G. Subba Rao Principal said that the institution was pulling the entire stop to carry out a multi-dimensional growth of a students’ personality apart from delivering a superior quality technical instruction.
In connection with the event, essay writing, Rangoli, Folk dance competitions were held and winners were awarded Prizes.
The Programme was coordinated by the GIST NSS Officer Mr. M. Mahesh Kumar, Mr. P. Ashok , PD, and the D.V.V.S. Phani Kumar, Director. All the Other HODs faculty and students participated in the event with great enthusiasm and made it a grand success.
