The students of Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology proved their mettle in the two day workshop held on 28 and 29 August by Quality Circles Forum of India Tirupati Chapter, at Annamacharya Institute of Science & Technology,Tirupati.
In all 238 individual and corporate house took part in this workshop. Mr. N. Sudhakar Reddy , Secretary and Correspondent expressed his happiness that 15 students of GIST participated in the event and brought accolades to the institution by their outstanding performance in project submission and paper presentation and won warm appreciation from the delegates of various industrial houses.
Dr. G. Subba Rao, Principal said that the Students of III ECE branch won ‘Gold Award’ and IV Mechanical & II Civil Students won the ‘Silver Awards’ for their outstanding performance in their project presentations respectively. He said that GIST bagged a ‘GOLD AWARD’ from Quality Circles Forum for making dynamic contribution and playing a very active role to faster Institute – Industry interface. This speaks volumes for the stress the institution is laying on Institute – Industry interaction he added. Mr.Sridhar and Mr. Naveen Kolla who acted as mentors of the students said that this achievement was possible due to the support and encouragement extended by the Management and Principal.
