India’s 3rd national festival, Gandhi Jayanthi is celebrated by the entire nation to commemorate the birth anniversary of the father of our nation-Mahatma Gandhi. Geethanjali institute of science and technology celebrated bapu’s birthday in the campus, a day prior on 1st October 2018  with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotism. The assembly wound up with a medley of Bapu’s favorite songs such as Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram. Prof .G. Subba rao, principal addressed the gathering and said that India secured its independence through non-violence while all other countries attained it through bloodshed. And he added that it was Mahatma Gandhi who led India to freedom and lal bahadur shastri was one of the prominent disciples of gandhiji who helped him and the country in this noble struggle. On this occasion conducted the essay writing to the students.
