A one day Seminar on “Cyber Security in Everyday Life” was organized under joint auspices of Department of Computer Science and Engineering & NATIONAL CYBER DEFENCE RESEARCH CENTRE in association with CSI at the Digi Hall of Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology on 3rd November 2018.
The resource person is T.T. Harish, honorary chair member of NCDRC. All the students, HOD & Faculty of CSE Department attended the seminar.
The Seminar mainly focused on Cyber Security in Everyday Life. The resource person told the students about the different modes of cyber crimes, virus attacks, social networking security, password protection, financial frauds and its legal scenario with relevant case laws. The students also asked their queries about cyber cullying and harassments. These young students listened to the lecture with rapt attention and expressed the feeling of satisfaction. The students were also informed about where to file a complaint about such threats and frauds.
