Cisco Networking Academy is an IT skills and career building program for learning institutions and individuals worldwide. Self-paced courses are designed to take at your own pace, at any point in your career journey.
Geethanjali initiated and effectively utilizing the resources of Cisco Networking Academy to enhance the learning process of student. As a part of this, software Training and online certified exam for assessing the student was conducted on IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software program.
112 students from III B.Tech had registered to IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software program in 2018-19 academic year. Course scheduled on 26th July and ends on 25 October by completing of 14 chapter exams.
IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software is one of the Cisco Networking Academy course. It provides a comprehensive overview of computer fundamentals and an introduction to advanced concepts. Students who complete this course will be able to describe the internal components of a computer, assemble a computer system, install an operating system, and troubleshoot using system tools and diagnostic software. They will also be able to connect computers to the Internet and share resources in a networked environment. PC Hardware and Software will help students prepare for entry-level IT positions within various environments. It will also help students develop greater skills and confidence in working with desktop and laptop computers. Students participate in hands-on activities and lab-based learning to become familiar with various hardware and software components and discover best practices in maintenance and safety. In addition, PC Hardware and Software covers the following new topics:
- Laptops and portable devices
- Wireless connectivity
- Security
- Safety and environmental issues
- Communication skills
