A Report On Industrial Visit To NELCAST:Gudur.
The II and III year Mechanical students of 20 members have visited,NELCAST,Gudur on 19/02/2025 accompanied by two faculty members, namely Mr.V.Ramu Assoc. Prof and Mrs. G.Nilima Asst. Prof. The visit enables the students for practical exposure to the production line of casting process. In this Field Visit, students attained the knowledge on casting process. The step by step process of whole casting process like casting design, core preparation and preparation of pattern and finally observed pouring of molten metal in to the cavity, everything observed practically and got real time knowledge. Students observed how the automation takes place in the casting process and very excited about knowing the technology they are using.For designing they are using Proe software , simulation purpose they are usig MAGMA and for VMC they are using MASTER CAM. The interactive session turned out to be extremely beneficial to the learners, as it provided them with a worthy learning experience, which will definitely stand them in good stead in their effort to expand the horizons of their technical proficiency.
