A WEEK-LONG EMBEDDE SYSTEMS AND INDUSTRIAL IOT WORKSHOP
The ECE Department of Geetanjali Institute of Science and Technology, a leading engineering college in Nellore, in partnership with the Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), organized a week-long training program on “Embedded Systems and Industrial IoT” for the benefit of second year ECE students, said the college’s Director Dr. G. Subbarao and Vice Principal Dr. K. Shravan Kumar on 28/07/2025 at CV Raman Hall.
The program was inaugurated by the Head of the ECE Department Dr. U. Penchala Reddy and in his inaugural address, he made the students aware of the opportunities available in the fields of Embedded Systems and Industrial IoT. The training program coordinator Shri G. Kiran Kumar explained how students can be fundamentally prepared according to the needs of the industry by undergoing training in this field. The training program is being conducted by domain experts Shri Cyril and Shri Charan from RoboMonk Technologies with significant industry experience.
Domain experts from Robomonk Technologies, Mr. Vikas, Mr. Cyril and Mr. Charan gave a comprehensive presentation on the importance, uses and practical approaches of IIOT. As part of the workshop, lively discussions and practical sessions were organized on topics related to technology, sensors, analytics, cloud computing and Industry 4.0 connectivity. Students and faculty members from various departments also participated and enhanced their knowledge. Certificates were distributed to the trained students. Dr. U. Penchala Reddy, Head of the Department of ECE, explained that this workshop is helping to increase awareness about the Industrial IOT sector and to further expand technological experimentation in industries.
On 02/08/2025 Training Program Coordinator Shri G. Kiran Kumar explained how students are fundamentally prepared according to the needs of the industry by getting training in this field and expressed gratitude for making this program a success.
College Director Dr. G. Subba Rao, Vice Principal Dr. K. Shravan Kumar, ECE students and faculty members participated enthusiastically in this program. A total of 180 ECE students and faculty members enthusiastically participated in the event.
