Report on One Week Faculty Development Programme
on
“Hadoop”
One Week Faculty Development Programme on “Hadoop” was successfully conducted under the joint auspices of Department of Computer Science and Engineering & ICT academy in association with CSI at Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology from 30th July to 4th August 2018.
The FDP programme received an overwhelming response with more than 30 participants from various Engineering Colleges.Mr.Dinesk Kumar Gandhi the trainer from ICT academy, explained each and everything very well with simple examples.
The trainer covered the following topics:
• Understanding Hadoop
• The Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
• Feeding Data into HDFS
• The MapReduce Framework
• Introduction to Pig
• Introduction to Hive
• Lab Hands on
The following feedback was received from the participants:
• That the delivery and presentation of the resource person was good.
• That the FDP brought practical knowledge of the subject through the application orientation.
