Seven Day N.S.S Special Camp at PothiReddy Palem

Seven Day N.S.S Programmes were organised from 13.03.17 to 19.03.17 in association with Pinakini Lions club under the auspices of GIST N.S.S Unit.

The N.S.S Camp was inaugurated on 13.03.2017 with Mr. T.Ashok Reddy, the person who adopted PothiReddyPalem Village , and Mr. D.V.V.S. PhaniKumar, the Director of GIST participating in the event . As part of the Programme Sample Survey of the village was undertaken by the N.S.S Volunteers on the First day.

On the second day, i.e., 14.03.2017,  blood camp was held and 100 units of blood was donated to the Red Cross Blood Bank by the GIST Students and Villagers. Swatch Bharat Event was organised and awareness about sanitation was created among the villagers.

On the Third day, i.e., 15.03.2017, a medical camp was conducted by the renowned gynaecologist Dr. Sri Lakshmi at Simhapuri Super Specialities Hospital and paediatrician Mr. Kiran Kumar gave free medical check-ups to the village women and children.

As part of Fourth day Programme, i.e., 16.03.2017, an eye camp was conducted and free cataract surgeries were carried out, and awareness was created among the villagers about the eye care and prevention of eye diseases.

On the Fifth day, i.e., 17.03.2017, a Literary Camp was Organised and Villagers were Educated about the importance of Literacy to prosper in Life.

On the Sixth day, i.e., 18.03.2017, Tree Plantation Programme was held and awareness was brought among the Villagers about the need to protect environment and preserve ecological balance.

On the Seventh day, i.e., 19.03.2017, the N.S.S camp awareness was created among the Villagers about digital transactions. The Special Camp came to a conclusion with the participation of Prof. Dr. G.SubbaRao, Principal , Sri N.Sudhakar Reddy, Principal , Mr. M.Mahesh Kumar ,N.S.S Programme Officer ,VEO, VRO, Mr. P.Srinivasulu Reddy , Member , Janmabhoomi Committee , Villagers and Students.
