GUEST LECTURE BY Mr.P.SREENIVAS REDDY

  A guest lecture was arranged under the auspices of CSE department of GIST on 23^th MARCH 2017. The chief Guest and Resource person was Mr.  Sreenivas P,  Scientist’G’ from DRDO Hyderabad. At the outset, Mr P. Sreenivas Reddy elaborated on the DRDO activities with a special emphasis on DRDO missile programme particularly Agni missile series. Then he went onto elucidate typical On-Board Systems, dwelling at length on the role of electronics and electricals during the missile flight. Later on, he took up the discussions of Ground Support Systems including launch computer configuration. He briefed on bus networks interfacing with On-Board computers. He also dealt with software structure on the respective platforms.He traversed through the entire gamut of On-Board Power distribution philosophy switching, interlocking telemetry, transponders and tele command Systems S-band, C-band, Ku/Ka band.He spoke elaborately on failure Analysis/ Reliability and provided some inputs on Future trends in R&D.
