Objectives

1. Improving standard of Engineering Education and counselling the students in the emerging new opportunities
2. Encouraging and motivating the outside Class room studies /Workshops/ projects/ Seminars
3. To plan, organize Technical Programs, Special Lectures, Workshops, Seminars Symposia, exhibitions for the benefit of students.
4. To provide common platform for students to exchange of ideas in technical topics of interest and to facilitate technical visits, project works, employment, contact with industries and academic institutions.
5. Encourage team spirit and self reliance among student members.

Benefits:

The benefits of being a member of the students’ chapter are the following:

1. Various technical events like seminars, industrial visits, group discussions, technical quiz competitions, workshops and model/ poster competitions will be organized throughout the year with sponsor and banner of IEI.
2. An Annual Students’ Convention with a Seminar on a topical subject and Technical Session will be conducted to provide a platform for presentation of technical papers and building fellowship and opportunities for networking with peers and senior members to the Institution.
3. Opportunity to participate in technical events e.g. Seminars, Symposia, Conventions, Workshops etc. organized by various IEI centers at State, National and International levels at a concessional rate of 20%.
4. Scholarships for selected student members will be given by IEI.
5. R & D grant from IEI.

Students’ chapter’s membership fee:

First Year     – R.s.536/-

Second Year – R.s. 536/-

Third Year    – R.s. 536/-

Fourth Year   – R.s. 536/-

IE(I)offers Corporate Membership for staff members at different levels such as Fellow (FIE), Member (MIE) and Associate Member (AMIE) based on the applicant’s academic qualifications and practical experience.

The membership fee for the staff members is as follows:
