A Guest Lecture on Advanced IC Engines – Generator Application was conducted by S. Jaffer Hussain AGM, GMMCO, Chennai. The Principal has given presidential address, the Secretary & Correspondent, HOD Mechanical have addressed the gathering. All the faculty members of Mechanical, the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th year Mechanical students have attend the Guest Lecture.

First, he started with the important of power generator with diesel engine & electric generator. He explained about very fundamentals of 4 stroke diesel engines – valve system, injection system, lubrication system, and cooling system. Latest trends in lubrication and cooling system. How to save heat energy – by recirculation of exhaust gases, working of alternator, production of e.m.f, various applications of generator. The lecture was very impressive. He has conducted Question & Answer session also.
