JNTU Anathapur has conferred a unique recognition to Geethanjali Engineering College as Spot Valuation& Scrutinising Centre, first time in Nellore District and accorded necessary sanctions with effect from this year as announced by Prof. Dr. G. Subba Rao, Principal of the college. In spite of the existence of over 27 Engineering colleges for the past 15 years, the faculty selected for paper evaluation, ladies in particular, were experiencing lots of hardships in going to distant places like Ananthapur, Pulivendula, Rajampet, and Chittoor and staying there for a number of days. Comprehending these constraints, the administration of the Geethanjali Engineering College explained and negotiated with the University authorities presenting viable plans and proposals. At Geethanjali Institution, for the past two years various prestigious examinations like GATE (online/offline), EAMCET, NEET, APPSC and in collaboration with TCS – ION, IBPS (for organizations like Nationalised Banks, LIC, United India) online examinations were successfully conducted, which gave enormous confidence to officers of JNTU, Ananthapur, in according sanctions to Geethanjali as its spot valuation centre. Responding promptly to the just and justifiable demands of the college, the University has taken the vital decision of sanctioning the Spot Valuation and Scrutinising Centre to the college.

This is yet another milestone achieved by the college in its efforts and endeavors to become the best Engineering College in the District. Acknowledging this rare distinction conferred on the college, Mr. N. Sudhakar Reddy, correspondent of the college, management, administration and faculty of the college expressed their gratitude to Prof. Lal Kishore, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Hemachandra Reddy, Registrar and Prof. Bhanu Murthy, Director of Evaluation of JNTU Ananthapur. The spot valuation for B.Tech II/III year for the year 2013 will be commencing at Geethanjali from 15th May as announced by DE, JNTU Ananthapur.

It is expected that over 100 senior teaching staff from various Engineering colleges in the district shall take part in the valuation. The Management of Geethanjali cordially provides Hostel facilities for women faculty members attending valuation from distant locations. Transport, refreshments and food facilities are also arranged for all the faculty members attending the valuation.
