Report on Save Women Rally
Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology has organized a rally on” Save Women “with a slogan “Stop violence against women. Respect women. Respect India”. This rally was undertaken by the students and faculty of GIST from college campus to Nellore village.
The “Save women” rally started at 10 AM on 23-07-2018 and concluded at 1.30 PM. During this rally the participants met several people of different mind-sets in the society and interacted. The rally is aimed at creating awareness among public to stop violence against women. Through this rally, many women who are facing violence in their life were motivated to fight against violence. This improved the levels of self-confidence among women in the society to resist acts of violence inflicted on them. Several members of faculty and a good number of students participated in the programme.
