An Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme was organized at GIST on 10-08-2022, for the 2nd year engineering students participating in the programme as the chief guest, Sri Mude Srnivasulu Nail, senior civil judge, Nellore, said that “Ragging is an evil and unlawful practice imported from the west. Innumerable junior students were taking their lives across university campuses in India, unable to endure the physical as well as mental suffering resulting from this evil practice”.

Another guest of honor, Sri M. Subha Reddy, Chairman and MD, World Human Rights Association cautioned the students against resorting to ragging thus placing their future at risk.

Dr K. Sundeep Kumar, Principal said that GIST had earned the fame as a ragging-free campus and having a facility Anti Ragging cell giving solutions for many remedial measures were initiated in the campus to prevent ragging incidents.

480 students and Faculty from the Geethanjali institute of science and technology in Nellore, Gangavaram  attended the programme.. Principal Dr. Dr K. Sundeep Kumar and Secretary and Correspondent Sri N. Sudhakar Reddy observed the programme in name of background related to the nine themes. Mr. Y. Murali krishna, acted as the Coordinator for the programme and make it success.
