Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology has conducted a Programme on Eradication of Open Defecation on 28th April 2018 at Gangavaram Village. About 50 students attended the programme along with the Principal and members of faculty, visiting the nearby hamlets also, to create awareness on the evils and health hazards in the practice of open defecation. They also have conducted a random survey of the facilities available in the village regarding drinking water, public sanitation and toilets.
The Principal interacted with the Sarpanch of the village Mr. K.Narsimha regarding the measures of personal and public hygiene taken up by the village administration. MR.G.SUBBAIH A/P of EEE was the Coordinator for the program
