One day Local Tour: Environmental Awareness Programme
As part of Students Three-Week Induction Programme in Zero-Semester, all The first year B.Tech students along with the members of faculty handling their classes and non- teaching staff have gone on a one day environmental awareness tour to Penchalakona and Somasila dam on 24 Aug 2019 organized by the Science & Humanities Department. The college arranged the transport. The group has gathered at Kottur around 7 AM, proceeded to Podalakur, where they had breakfast and then to Penchalakona, where they had lunch after exploring the flora, fauna and biodiversity there. Post lunch trip to Somasila project has good educative value. All have returned by night fall to Nellore. The arrangements were good and no untoward incident has taken place. The Principal was present all the time leading from the front along with the HoD, Science and Humanities Department. It was a good programme fusing education, enlightenment and entertainment.
