Sardar Valla bhai Patel, Iron man of India, practical visionary and architect of modern and united India, is an immortal name in the history of India whose contribution to make the country free from the manacles of slavery can’t be penned down easily. He is the man who worked enormously to keep India afloat on path of unity & progress. Every year 31st of October his birth anniversary is celebrated as National Unity Day to provide an occasion to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of the nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country. Faculty of Engineering, GIST honoured the day by organizing various activities.
