Industrial Visit Report on APGENCO
The II year Mechanical students of 2017-2021 batch 59 members have visited 2×800=1600MW APGENCO power plant on 19/02/2018 accompanied by two faculty members, namely, Mr. Y. Murali Krishna Assitant. Prof. and Mr. P. SrinivasuluAssistant Prof. The visit enables the students to practically visualize the functioning boilers, their mounting and accessories, Material handling equipment, Cooling towers, Ponds, working of steam turbines, condensers and also a generation of electricity by the use of electrical generators.
All the above topics are covered in thermal engineering II and in electrical technology subjects. In addition to the above, they learn about heat exchangers which are included in heat and mass transfer subjects. The institute has conveyed special thanks to APGENCO Authorities for having given permission to our students.
