INDUSTRIAL VISIT REPORT

Place of visit: IIIT Bangalore, Tech Summit 2022.
Introduction
An industrial visit to IIIT Bangalore and Tech Summit 2022, 26/c, Hosur Road, Electronic City, Bangalore 560100 and Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru, 560052 was successfully organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 17 Nov 2022, Thursday. Forty two students and two faculty visited IIIT Bangalore to know how the process of research is done in the institute, what are the advance research projects are going on and how we can join and approach to join for the research institutions, we visited Tech Summit 2022 to know how all the companies come across a place and exhibit their ideas to others and expand their businesses.
We all students and faculty went to IIIT Bangalore in a private bus transport at 9:00 AM.As all the students and the faculty are instructed that to see all the external features of the institution. We observed that the environment which is very good and the institution is very big that each section of research projects aregiven with different blocks. There are different types of plants and each of them are counted and details are tagged that which of the particular plant belongs to the particular group and name the age from when its planted etc.We all visited the campus seeing the hostels and the playgrounds of the institution.
Then we are instructed to assemble at the auditoriumhall, A brief introduction is given to all our students by Mrs. Kalpana who is head of MINRO department She studied in Electrical Engineering and was an Entrepreneurand now she deals with MINRO department (Machine Intelligence and Robotics)and E-Health Research Centre (EHRC) we are introduced with the types of on going projects that are present and what are they doing. In a part of that they invited us to visit at the research centers. In a partwhich we visited at the 5G broadband development Centre.In 5G broadband development Centre there are two teams which are software development team and hardware development team. As a part of broadband testing and launching of 5G network in metropolitan cities they are developing the hardware and software designs and projects
After that we visited the MINRO Centre and we explore a sensor based laboratory in which we are able to see mini prototypes of their ideas what they are going to be done. These prototypes are not working but they actually indicate the main project of what they are planning We next visited to Modular Open – Source Identity Platform ( MOSIP ) which is to develop a platform which can be used in any place and anywhere in the word. As Aadhar cards have been used only by our country as well as each county uses its natural identity procedures as Germany uses its Green card, etc. But our idea is After visiting all the Research centerswe are taken to the Canteen and are provided with the lunch. In the canteen we are provided with free of lunch but when we compare the prices of items we noticed that each and every item is comparatively very less. We also observed that the payments done are of digital payments and they said they don’t accept any cash and only do online payments.
Overall view of the institute was very well and we observed a lot of things like good environment and well encouraging sports with separated workspace for each research centers and how the functioning is done in each research center.
