INDUSTRIAL MOTIVATION CAMPAIGN
Awareness program on Entrepreneurship development was held on 11Th August 2017 at 03.00PM in New Seminar Hall organized by Industry Institute Coordination Cell (IICC). All the final year students & IICC Committee members were present.
Prof. Dr. Subba Rao, Principal, Geethanjali Institute of Science & Technology gave the message to the students that they should transform themselves from doing traditional business into smart business and asked the students to understand the lessons from the experts and expected that 15-20 persons would be emerging hopefully as entrepreneurs.
Mr.N.Sreedhar Reddy, Asst. Director, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Directorate, Hyderabad, Government of India, explained the various activities and schemes that are serviced by MSME like Credit Guarantee Fund Trust, Credit Link Capital Subsidy Scheme for technology upgradation (CLCSS), Cluster Development Programme, Market Development Assistance (MDA), Entrepreneur Clubs, Bar Coding, Fee Reimbursement and Tool Room etc.
Mr.S.Venkata Suresh, Asst. Director, District Industries Centre, Nellore, Govt. of A.P. talked about the grants provided to service sectors and manufacturing sectors from MSME. In addition to that they have Entrepreneur Skill Development Program through which they tie-up with many corporates to provide in-plant training which spans about 6 weeks.
Finally, a real entrepreneur, Mr. Samara Sekhara Reddy, who was an ex-faculty of GIST shared his experiences about his Start-up Company and its achievements.
Finally the meeting ended up honouring the guests with mementos.
