8th ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS ON A GRAND SCALE
The 8th anniversary celebrations of one of the reputed engineering institution in Nellore district kicked off to a colourful start on 11.02.2017, i.e., Saturday amid gaiety pomp and much fan fare.
Participating in the event as the Chief Guest, Mr. P. Sukumar Reddy, Techno Commercial Manager of the Hyderabad based CADEPLOY addressed the gathering. He exhorted the students to upgrade and hone their technical capabilities keeping pace with the ever changing global technology scenario.
Another guest of Honour, Mr. Amit Ashok Sagar, Senior Manager, GAMESA addressing the gathering said that it was imperative for the students to inculcate innovative thinking and contribute to the national development, by taking up socially relevant projects.
Mr. N.SUDHAKAR REDDY, Secretary & correspondent said that the institution was initially all necessary measures and providing quality infrastructures facilities to build bright career for the students.
Prof. Dr. G. SUBBBA RAO appraised the gathering of the progress and various achievements made by GIST over the last 8 years in his Annual report.
Later the dignitaries on the dias felicitated the H.O.Ds who achieved the doctoral degree with shawls and mementos. Top rank holders were given cash prizes.
The cultural programme presented by the students in connection with the event enthralled the audience.
Mr. D. Vinaya kumar Reddy, Rector, Viswodoya Group of Educational Institutions, Mr. P. Sreenivaslu Reddy, Joint secretary , Mr. D.V.V.S Phani kumar , Director , Mr.Y. Dinakar, placement officer, Heads of various departments, Faculty and students participated in the event.
